About Elvin Nathan Jones (he/they)
Elvin holds a BA in Theatre/Dance and an MA in Multicultural Education. A masterful facilitator, teacher, and artist, Elvin knows how to “read a room,” possessing the innate ability to meet folks where they are. They have a wide range of facilitation styles at their behest; with over 30 years professional experience as studio teacher, lecturer, facilitator, and educator of all grades and levels from preschool through university.
Exploring his Afro-indigenous roots, Elvin travels annually to Benin, West Africa. He has also traveled to Togo, Ayiti, Cuba, and New Orleans to study the Africanist dance methodologies and inter-cultural transmission of each nation/place.
